The Snapmaker J1 High-Speed IDEX 3D Printer is designed for maximum speed and efficiency, with a fast print speed of up to 350 mm/s and an impressive maximum acceleration of 10,000 mm/s². It allows you to bring your ideas to life quickly and effortlessly, delivering high-quality prints with exceptional precision and speed. With its Independent Dual Extruder (IDEX) system, the J1 enables simultaneous printing of multiple objects, reducing print time and boosting productivity.
J1 offers you a top-of-the-line 350 mm/s printing speed while ensuring that prints are of a high resolution. It is made possible by the technology for vibration compensation being optimised. This technology lessens ringing to improve print quality by reducing vibrations brought on by fast movements. With a maximum acceleration of 10,000 mm/s2, you can effectively realise small models that are densely detailed.
Dual extrusion printing significantly reduces waiting time because the idle extruder heats up while in standby and begins printing as soon as the active extruder leaves.
J1 can avoid issues like corner bulge by anticipating the extruders' moving directions, which results in better print quality at corners.
Four aluminium alloy bars, an upper frame, and a base made of one-piece die casting make up J1's body. Precision assembly is made possible by creating the body from a small number of highly integrated parts, a strategy long used by the automotive industry. J1 is so rigid and dependable with the least amount of wobble and deformation possible that you can print large projects repeatedly for a considerable amount of time without compromising the quality of any of the prints.
The precision CNC grinding used to create the industrial-grade linear rails results in movements
that are steady and slick. In order for you to enjoy a quick, precise, and steady making
experience, there has been a significant increase in precision, rigidity, and durability.
Repeatability (X/Y): 0.03 mm; (Z): 0.02 mm.
Expected Lifetime of More Than 10 Years.
Users highly value Snapmaker's iconic all-metal design for its rigidity and sturdiness, and J1 inherits it. With the main board and power supply dispersed across the base and aluminium alloy serving as its primary material, it offers better heat dissipation. At your command, all electronic components are lubricated.
IDEX dual-material printing uses less time to change filament and produces less waste than a multi-material unit. Additionally, IDEX provides the most hygienic two-extruder solution to avoid cross-contamination. By embracing hassle-free removal and preventing stains and odd blending along the seam, it creates a clean interface between two materials.
Building and removing support can appear to be rocket science at times, but we've done the math for you: consistent support, a clean interface, easy removal, and minimal post-processing required to maintain high dimensional accuracy. Consider your model exactly as it is.

Reduce your wait time by half and increase your productivity by a factor of two. IDEX is the only extrusion system with two separate extruders that move independently on the X-axis, allowing you to run two prints at the same time.
Copy Mode
Print two identical objects at the same time. It's ideal for
batch printing, empowering studios and enthusiasts. If one of the prints encounters a problem,
you can halt it without affecting the other. This mode is a lifesaver when it comes to meeting a
deadline.
Mirror Mode
J1 directly mirrors your model and prints both the original and the mirrored version at the same time. Import half of a symmetrical model and print it in Mirror Mode to cut your wait time in half, ideal for quick draughts and concept models. You can stop one print without affecting the other, just like in Copy Mode.
One extruder prints while the other is on standby in backup mode. The stand-by extruder would seamlessly take over the job if the working extruder encountered a problem, continuing to produce fantastic prints for you.
When printing with high-temperature filaments like nylon, reinforced nylon, and PC, a nozzle with a maximum temperature of 300°C is useful. It takes much less time for filaments to melt and heat up when silicone hot end socks are used to keep heat in. Anti-clogging designs ensure the smoothest possible flow.
Flexible filaments can be extruded with ease thanks to the excellent extrusion accuracy. Dual direct drives' high responsiveness also helps to control deposition more precisely and quickly. In the event of filament runout, nozzle clogging, or other abnormalities that prevent filament loading, a built-in filament sensor will alert you and pause the print job.
You can print with TPU and many other flexible materials without any issues thanks to the short extrusion path of a special design.
It offers stable environmental conditions that help high-temperature materials perform consistently reliably. For instance, it prevents warping in ABS and many other materials.

• A dual-extrusion setup
With clear instructions, file previews, and plenty of information, your personal guide through setup and skilled assistant in making will take care of all your questions and needs.
Extruders are redesigned to consistently deliver outstanding performance with demanding, advanced materials. Print high-quality projects that meet the structural and functional requirements of various engineering applications with minimal effort.
Flexible and liable to under-extrusion, it necessitates precise extrusion and heat dissipation control.
Nylon, PA-CF (Polyamide-Carbon Fibre), and PA-GF (Polyamide-Glass Fibre) are a few examples. Tough and resistant to wear, but requires strict printing temperature and nozzle hardness conditions.
It has a high heat resistance and a long lifespan. Because it is prone to warping and shrinkage, it requires stable ambient conditions, which are best provided by an enclosed space.
This time saver allows you to finish the calibration in 10 minutes under the Assist Mode.Taking away the calibration card and the judgement call, it reduces errors and arrives at better accuracy. We use electrical conduction to locate the two hot ends and the heated bed and measure the distances between the three entities—a creative solution to complex IDEX calibration.
J1 determines the offsets between the two hot ends by measuring the electronic signals that are emitted when the two hot ends make contact with the heated bed's square opening. Then, during printing, J1 automatically corrects the offsets to ensure perfect XY alignment, preventing layer shifting and raising the success rate of dual-material prints. It eliminates the steep learning curve and spares you from reading through a staggering number of lines. Start with a tap, then take a seat for improved precision.
Successful 3D Prints start with a level print bed, but levelling the bed on an IDEX printer can take a lot of time. J1 can downsize from a 3 3 (9 points) or 4 4 (16 points) levelling to a 3-point one using a PEI glass plate with high flatness, without sacrificing levelness, and downtime is reduced by 70–80%. The bed is levelled for optimal first-layer adhesion after turning the levelling wheel as instructed on the touchscreen.
J1 can determine the separations between the heated bed and the hot ends using electrical conduction. As a result, we were able to skip the step of repositioning the calibration card while changing the Z offset. You can now calibrate the Z offset by simply turning the thumb wheel in accordance with the touchscreen instructions.
Prints with two materials. You take advantage of two sets of properties in a single print. Combine the strength of nylon with the flexibility of TPU to create functional parts that can withstand everyday wear and tear. Print multi-part objects as a whole as well. Without assembly, the object develops stronger interconnections, making it less susceptible to damage.
Prints in two colours. Personalise your concept models, miniatures, party supplies, gift items, and home decor.
Use a variety of materials for the walls and infill. You can now spend the majority of your time and money budget on working the exterior to perfection by printing infill with inexpensive materials and a large-diameter nozzle.
J1's build plate is made of glass and is extremely flat, resulting in a smooth and adhesive first layer. Glossy glass on one side and PEI coating on the other, aiding in filament adhesion. The plate is easily removable, making it ideal for maintenance and print removal.
Loosen the two screws on the hot end, repair or replace the hot end, and resume printing immediately. We offer multi-diameter hot ends ranging from 0.2 mm for detail accuracy to 0.8 mm for faster printing, as well as hardened hot ends for engineering materials, for those seeking more variations and advanced applications.
For multi-material prints to be free of blobs and stringing, scrape extra material from nozzles and stop the extruder's just-active oozing. Without having to wait for the currently active extruder to cool down, the next extruder in queue can begin its print job. It takes much less time to switch between extruders, reducing downtime once more.
Tested and tuned to perform at its peak. Simply open the box when J1 is delivered to your door, mount the filament holders, doors, and panels, and get started right away.
